Just to check, if I build with Xcode 4 can I submit to iTunesConnect? The SDK isn't in beta so logic says yes but I just want to be sure.

I want to give a Mac mini away for a couple of days to someone who would want to play with Mac for the first time. Is there a way to return OS X to a state where you find it straight after fresh OS X installation when Mac needs to be taken through registration process, given name, etc.
I want to install all the accompanying software like iLife'05 and apply all the recent OS and iLife updates and then "reset/deauthorise" OS X so that the new user did not have to install apps and download updates the first thing after powering the Mac up and going online.
If you are familiar with what sysprep does to Windows, that's what I am looking for Mac OS X.
I assume the process should include removing all the user accounts, deleting assigned Mac name and kicking in a registration app at startup.
I just hope one does not need to buy OS X server for that!

However, I don't know where it's located, nor can I search for it since I'm not at my Mac right now. Since it's really only a flag file, it's probably VERY small (less than 1 KB).

As long as Jobs announces that they are in fact "shipping today" then yes, the Apple Stores should have them immediately and you would also be able to order them from the onliine store.
There is talk that iLife might be previewed today, however not released yet, as it might have some tie-ins to Leopard and will be released at the same time as 10.5 instead of today. :cool:
that is, of course, unless Leopard is to be announced as available at the keynote. (Which it won't be.)

I agree. Audion was my Mp3 player of choice in the pre-OsX days... they abandoned it though, and now it's free... I use it again now... just to pre-sort "new" MP3s so I don't mess up my iTunes library...

The main issue is that Apple has made it (rightfully so) very intuitive to save a contact from the dialer or recent-calls menu. all you have to do is click the right-arrow and you'll be able to "add to contacts", which dumps it into the iphone-contacts folder, instead of exchange, regardless of the default contact view in the contacts app.
I myself don't add contacts through the contacts app, as I normally key in the number in the dialer then hit the "+" button to create a contact :/

The just plug speakers in the Expresses on opposite sides of the room, and I'll be good to go, correct?

I've been carefully monitoring the processor loads on my c2d macbook (the black one) to see what kind of processor I would be needing if I buy an air. The decision is really between the 1.86 and 2.13
My loads are:
1.03 .93. 87
These are with chrome and itunes and terminal running along with ical and the likes. nothing too heavy.
Any advice on which processor?

Okay, so perhaps the title is a bit vague.
I've enabled the lock rotation/mute switch plist mod on my iPhone 4. However, when using the switch as a rotation lock switch, there's a blank black icon in my multitasking menu where the "Mute on/off" button should be.
Could somebody SSH/iFile/whatever the icons for the multitasking mute on/off button for me and send them this way? Likely to be in:
"/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app"
The rotation lock icon is under the name, "RotationLockButton-iphone.png" and "RotationUnlockButton-iphone.png" if that helps at all.

I've recently noticed- some iLife apps are not working. The biggest concern is iPhoto - I've opened up iPhoto '11 (iLife 11) but it says:

However, and here's the catch - iDVD, iMovie, working. Just a couple apps are not working (I can't check every single one for compatibility). Is this a universal problem? How do I fix it? I have iLife '10 and '09 if that helps but I haven't checked if they work. Either way, I would like to use iLife '11 over either older versions... Thanks!

I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but can't they just demolish this house and rebuild a new one on the same plot? I know it'll be expensive...I am just asking :o
YEs, they could, but they can't afford the $61,000 clean up fee. They certainly won't be able to afford demolition and reconstruction. That would be at least twice the clean up fee, not to mention put the new mortgage way out of their price range.
If I were them, I would go after the relator and his/her company and previous owner. There should be a way to split up the cost of the clean up that is fair for everyone involved without the need to walk away from the house.

Glad they fixed it, but that kind of thing should have never been allowed to exist in the firstplace.
Why do you think that's such a huge bug? Do you know the account name on my computer? I don't know yours, either. Not only that, you would have to share your computer's files (something you have to do yourself) then open port 548 for the world to see through your router.
